Tom Gibson has explored animated editorial cartoon art for two decades, with the goal of producing an animated cartoon that could be produced within a 24-hour news cycle. Advocacy Animation represents the first practical animation product, with sufficient quality, to meet the 24-hour test. Gibson's professional experience spans national and international politics at the highest levels, cartoon art for top tier newspapers magazines and electronic media, telecom technology, and corporate communications.

Tom was an editor and cartoonist on the Opinion staff of USA Today at its founding, and has also worked with the Washington Post, The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, and The National Journal. He has 30 years of senior-level experience, both inside and outside of government, and has substantial senior-level corporate communications consulting experience. Mr. Gibson is an honors graduate of Princeton University and holds an MPA from Harvard.

The work of other top-calibre illustrators, musicians, and writers are represented in Advocacy Animation shorts. But ultimately, the most important talent that Gibson and his colleagues bring to Advocacy Animation is story-telling. The remarkable reach of the Internet and the whistles and bells of technology are compromised unless a clear and compelling story is told in language and art that captures and motivates an audience. And that is what cartoonists do best.
