Small File Animations are typically 20K to 35 k in size and are recommended for audiences using lower-speed or "dial-up" Internet connections (international or U.S. consumer residential). Animations are accomplished with a minimum of audio, color, and titling -- all of which add to file size. One of the greatest drawbacks to early attempts at on-line animation was the long wait times for loading. Here, using a file size equivalent to a one-page Word document, load times for 56K dial-up users are fast.
